What is MMA?
Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) is a full-contact combat sport that allows both striking and grappling, both standing and on the ground, using techniques from other combat sports and martial arts.
MMA Techniques & Drilling Class
Mixed Martial Arts competitions like the UFC are very popular and great way to test your martial arts ability. These classes are open to students that have at least an intermediate level of striking and grappling, though you don’t have to be a competitive fighter to participate. We will learn and drill techniques that add striking to our grappling, mixing our stand-up boxing/kickboxing with our wrestling, etc. just like you see in MMA. MMA sparring gloves and mouth guards are required for most classes, but boxing gloves and shin guards will be needed occasionally.
